FAQ
First, authenticate your Microsoft Teams account with StartADAM by clicking ‘Let’s go’ and logging in to your Microsoft Teams account. From there, you’ll have access to the StartADAM bot, where you will be able to create groups for your contacts on any tool (such as Whatsapp) to join.
StartADAM Connect allows you to create cross-platform communication groups, so you can allow contacts on Whatsapp (or other platforms - Slack, Discord, SMS and Telegram) to join into your Microsoft Teams account. We also integrate with platforms like Trello & Jira for deeper integrations.
We recommend authenticating StartADAM with the business tool you use the most. In this case, we suggest authenticating Microsoft Teams and inviting your colleagues to join your StartADAM groups, where they can join with Whatsapp or other tools they prefer. If you are a contractor wanting to connect with a client on Microsoft Teams, then you can authenticate your Whatsapp instead and your client may join from their Microsoft Teams account.
StartADAM does require admin access to Microsoft Teams. You may send this page to your IT administrator where they can click ‘Let’s go’ and authenticate your company’s Microsoft Teams account. From there, you will be able to create groups by talking to the StartADAM bot. If you prefer, you may choose to authenticate a tool you have access to, instead, such as Whatsapp, and create groups from there. Contact us any time for support or guidance!
Once you authenticate StartADAM Connect, you’ll be able to create cross-platform groups by talking to the StartADAM bot in Microsoft Teams. From there, you can invite colleagues with a shareable link which they can join from their Whatsapp account.
StartADAM only has access to group channels you create with us. We recommend making as many groups as you like and your colleagues can join. You can also use a personal link (coming soon) to share with colleagues.
